There's a pumping station on the river close to where I live. On

clear cold mornings, the grass and trees around the station are

covered with various forms of ice. I am hoping to improve my macro

skills there as the season goes on.

Thank Emre. Yes the focus is too soft. I'm still trying to learn how to use my macro lens. I hoping to get back to the place where I took this photo and try again. Check out the other two ice photos on my page. In my opinion the focus is better, but the composition is not as nice.

Chuck,thanks for the comments. I was actually hoping for divine intervention rather an a sign. I spend quite a bit of time taking photos, but get frustrated with the result. Do I need a new camera, new glasses, a better tripod or just some more classes to get the results I want? I'm not sure.
