Beautiful in its simplicity and composition. Stunning photo.

A few minutes after taking off from Milan the clouds parted.
-
A fine bright day brought out the rainbow of colors.

I have been trying to properly photograph my mineral collection and I think I'm headed in the
right direction with my old 55mm Nikon Micro lens on my D-70 digital camera. With so much
red it's hard to make the crystal planes pop out . . .

The fog and mist rolls in from the ocean, just 10K away.

Over the northernmost part of Canada at midday froma good clean airplane window.

Spectacular, wonderful . . . extraordinary
7/7 What else can I say?

Wonderful still life, fantastic details. Bravo!

Kevin:
I love your stuff and this is yet another amazing shot. I'm just wondering if you would have lost the whiteness between the sky and the hill with some feathering. It's a minor nitpick but I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth.

Part of the Magical plane ride over the Swiss Alps this winter . . . . early morning light,
great clouds, great resolution. Minor level tweaks and USM. Shot through a clear window at
infinity focus with a great deal of luck.
-
Seaside fog rolls into Triunfo Canyon at sunrise. Very little pp, some USM and saved for
web. No color manipulation.
-
The fog paints such amazing pictures. This looked like a classic Chinese of Japanese ink
painting . . . right here in Southern California.
-
The fog season is about to end and the magic show below the cliff house will be gone
soon, The fog comes from the Pacific Ocean which is 6 miles away. The moist air from the
Bay hits the dry cold from the canyons.

This photo was taken out of an ordinary airplane window. I was lucky because the plane was flying low and I had a clean window. The light was spectacular in the early morning. I used infinity focus which I think helped rid the image of reflection. I used levels in photoshop to make minor adjustments and a little USM.

Flying from Milan to Munich on Air Dolomiti at fairly low altitude on a mystical morning

Wonderful colors and texture. Quite an effective photo. Well done

Honestly David I think this photo has tremendous drama and impact but the composition doesn't deliver. The eye meanders without a real focal point as the foreground takes you off the page. I think you have some great elements here but I'd like to take a few steps to the left . . . .
Offered in a humble spirit.

Really fine way to reconcile the values of light and color. The composition is excellent.

Red Square last week on a frosty morning at "rush" hour. The more the Russian nation
evolves the more the ties to the past are remembered.
