Rhodochrosite from Huallapon Mine Pasto Bueno, Ancash Department, Peru

I have been trying to properly photograph my mineral collection and I think I'm headed in the

right direction with my old 55mm Nikon Micro lens on my D-70 digital camera. With so much

red it's hard to make the crystal planes pop out . . .

Good work. The background is really dark and the colors are not accurately portrayed. I would suggest trying a polarizing filter to cut the reflections and see what you think. Nice one.
