1.
In PSE7, when you activate the text tool to create text, an options bar will appear at the top of your screen, just below the top line of options (File, Edit, etc. )
On the very left is the drop down box to choose you font family, the next to the right is font style, the next one is font size plus others at you move to the right.
You can also find out by using the Help menu in PSE7 and searching for font size or changing font.
Hope this helps.

  2.
Digital Photo Professional (DPP) would be my choice to process RAW and then convert and save to jpg format.
For Gil... make sure you have the latest versions of Zoombrowser and DPP for the G10.
You can download and update from the Canon web site.

  3. With the newest Zoombrowser you have to do an additional operation. When you initially download your images they will be in last acquired image work area.

After the download select all files then choose "View & Classify" then choose "classify into folder".

You can set preferences to move the files or you will end up with with two copies. One in the "Pictures" folder and one where you classified them to. With the move option, Zoombrowser will delete the files from the "pictures" folder after the move.

  4. You can save the above shot by applying a blur in the background to make the foreground stand out more.

Extract the bull and rider to a layer above the image, then put a gaussian blur with 3 or 4 radius on the background.

  5. For the type of outdoor picture you posted, a shutter speed between 1/500 to 1/1000 should be enough to stop action. Try ISO settings of around 200 to 400 for outdoor in sunlight.

First set your camera to Tv setting, then set ISO to about 200, then point and make a practice shot (or half press shutter button to see what the camera sets the aperture to.) I would want the aperture to be f8 or less. Make speed or ISO adjustments to bring it in range.

Also check the historgram to determine if the exposure is not over or under exposed.

Search the internet for tutorials on using the historgram, and understandng exposure settings.

    Hope this helps.
