  1. This is great. You really got a fun moment between these three! There's a lot of foreground there...but I think you wanted to capture the reflection. I would probably bring it up just past the beginning of the reflection. 5/6

Patricia, as usual you have taken it to the next level. It really pops with whatever you did! I learned so much from the last photo you helped me out with.....how did you do this? I cana't believe how much better the light looks...esp in the face. Yes he was harshly backlit...chose to give me this awesome launch with 5 pm backlight! I have some good ones running into the light...but of course not at this perfect moment in stride.

He is a chocolate tricolor, with green eyes. Not a common color for dogs. Even his nose is brown! Thanks for your comments :)

After some suggestions made on an earlier post, I am resubmitting. I

hope you see this Patricia. Thanks for the suggestions. Please if you

hate this and dump a low rate on me, at least tell me why so I can

learn what works and what doesn't.

caught this candid. I know next to nothing about photographing

children but this was too much for me to pass. What do you think?

Hi Mike...a few tips about shooting dogs. Try to get down to their level or step futher away and use a telephoto. When you have bits and pieces not fitting in the frame it is better than to crop very tightly so it looks like you did it on purpose. The composition may be more intersting here if you just used the heads. The other thing is the highlights of the fawm pug are blown... probably becuse you metered on the black pug, which is exposed correctly. I played with your photo a bit and if this image came out of my camera this is what I would have seen. I solated the head of the fawn pug, used curves to adjust the lighting, increased saturation, clairfied then added a touch of sotfness as the image appeared to be too sharp. Just some ideas how to take a snapshot and make something a bit more out of it. I'm still not happy with the leg on the left but you get the idea.

I guys...thanks for the comments. I agree about the legs....but couldn't get a vertical shot in fast enough....actually I did but she ran out of the frame...you know how it is. Was afraid to crop tighter as don't want to lose the tail...ah...what to do? Could make it a headstudy but then lose the oak. Could just try and take another one. LOL

Caught this afternoon....light was exceptional. I don't know if the

solar eclippse had anything to do with it, but the light was great.

Hi Sam...beautiful Eclectus...is he yours? The photo is slighlty soft not showing the fine, hair like feather detail, and your EXIF info says you were shooting at 1/30th...harder to handhold so maybe a faster shutter next time? I have that camera in my collection...it's a great little camera isn't it?
