I have other camera's 20D and the 40D my purpose of using this camera is because of the 21MP where the 200MM lens cannot zoom enough I can use my software and crop the image where with more pixel I have more room to play with without loosing quality, I understand it only 3.5FPS and its not the best choice for sport photography.
As per Jamie Robertson post (Sounds like someone bought something they shouldn't have) you don't know anything about me,or what I have, I feel you where too opinionated this forum is for suggestion not for put down opinion's, anyway I appreciate all the other suggestion and as allways this has been very helpful see attach photo .

Would Like some feedback, I purchased 5dmkII and my son soccer season started I’m having problem taking action shots I set my camera to M using high shutter speed like 1/8000 using my 70-200 2.8 IS lens @2.8 but the quality was not that great specially in some shot where the sun in the same direction of the lens or when it get little late darker outside , Does the 5dmkII have a sport mode? Cant find it in the book I have tried set the camera TV and AV / CA both will not allow me to take continuous shots is pictures the best option was the auto mode but the problem will only allowing me to use single shots only . On my older camera 20D I had no problem with picture clarity using it in a sport mode should I be using the old camera ? is the 5dmkII is good for action/sport.

Interesting how Competition is stiffening I wonder what you think of this I understand that its not available yet to
judge but what about the idea? Is canon going to follow ?
Nikon Inc. today announced the D90, a digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera that redefines the creative boundaries
of digital photography allowing photographers to easily create stunning still images and High Definition (HD) movie
clips with sound -- with the same camera. A host of Nikon core technologies were leveraged to develop the D90's
scope of versatility, calling on years of photographic and optical expertise. Whether consumers are graduating from
an advanced compact digital camera or are a seasoned D-SLR enthusiast, the Nikon D90 emphasizes brilliant image
quality and versatility with its exclusive advanced Scene Recognition System, intuitive creative controls, blazing fast
performance and the industry-first ability to create HD movie clips at 720p in the new D-Movie mode.

can some one give me more make and models so I compare i will be using it for family portraits head and full body shot as well as group pictures and is it a flash trigger light or a constant light and would two be enough
-
I’m looking a new light studio light set I remember seeing a set of two softbox with built in flash inside the soft box
and its triggered remotely through the camera I currently using a canon 20d and considering of purchasing the new
5d model when it becomes available any recommendation, wattage, make, model, pros or cons on this system will
be appreciated .
-
that is great but I still want to see what upgrade of the 5D
-
Bob I understand but when you compare feature and High Tech Edge Canon will loose some business because of that as the case with the cruise line, and as a marketing strategy you want to have the best product in terms of quality and future against you competitors.

I went on a cruise last week and notices all the photographer are using a Nikon D300 a year ago in my previous
cruise they where all using a canon D30 so I decided to ask why the switch they told me that they all preferred Nikon
due to the fact the LCD is more clear and make their job a lot easier to be able to view a very clear image so I looked
on there LCD and its very true the quality of the image look a lot better than on my canon D40 when I got back I
decided to do some homework and this is what I found out the Nikon LCD have 922,000 Pixels and the canon’s all
of them have only 230,000 Pixels which make it almost 4X more pixels does any one know if Canon is doing any
upgrades on the LCD as well, I have been using canon equipment for the past 10+ years and happy with the quality
of there equipment but it sure be nice to have a better LCD, I’m sure if some one starting new will properly consider a
Nikon the screen sells itself, and since the feature are almost the same in the case of the cruise they where all using
kit lens so they did not have any special lens so the transition to Nikon was no big deal, I just hope canon will work
on that Your Feed back is appreciated

I do a lots of sport Action shots with my 20D and 70/200 IS and always use the sport mode it works the very good all my picture is very sharp it only lacks sharpness at night time where I used manuel mode.
-
Is you 24-70/2.8 wide enough for you? No not really its not compact enough its big and heavy.
-
Well My philosophy is if Im going to buy a lens buy the best so I wont look back later saying I which I bought the better one also I feel lens is better investment than cameras they hold there prices better and can be used on newer body and I feel a better quality lens on a any low end SLR cameras is better and high end cameras with low quality lens, quality of optical is the most important aspect in photography .
-
Thanks for toyr response But I'm thinking of getting the 5D next year so EF-S lens will not do
-
currently own a 20D with 50 MM 1.4, 70/200 MM IS, and 24/70 MM , when I went
on a cruise this summer I noticed that what Im missing is a lens that is
wide angle and compact and easy to carry around all day . My 50 1.4 is compact
but its not wide angel and the other two are big to carry around, I did
purchased a compact canon SD 600 to compensate but the quality was very
disappointing comparing it the SLR any suggestion, wondering what lens to use
for group picture prime or zoom I appreciated any inputs.
