c/c really appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I like the feel of being led "down the path", but I think the really detracts from this photo. The vignetting accentuates the "sepia" cast of the sky and, for me, hurts the natural capture of the village lane itself.

I really like the balance and feel of this photo. I do think, though, that the gold lettering really detracts from the image and takes away from the photo pulling you in.

Beautifully timed photo. I like your choice of a horizontal crop. His stance against the symmetry of the background really engaged me.

I ran across this sculpture tied to the roof of a parked car, on its
way for installation (I assume). It was midday, and the perfect
reminder to grab some lunch....
Any c/c appreciated. Thanks.

I like the photo as composed, but it is out of context for the title and category. You cannot tell what is burning, or why it would be important as a news item. So, it is an attractive image, but, IMHO, not one that communicates your message.

Maria,
Thank you. You raise some good points. I was concerned that over sharpening the image would make the already chiseled appearance a bit too strong. I also find that while I'm sharpening for print, I tend to leave the screen image a bit "smooth" to avoid overcorrection of the final output.
I'm interested in your idea of bringing up the definition and contrast of the foreground tree line. I felt the softer foreground helped draw out the lines of the stonework. I'll give it a try and see how it changes the overall texture.
By the way, you're absolutely right, BOTH antennas should go. Thanks for that attention to detail.
Regards,
Henry
