Jake: Being familiar with norcal sunsets, I like the hills and grass and that real golden light. But by putting the horizon in the middle, you're basically saying the sky is as equally important as the hills. Unfortunately it's not. The sky is pretty boring way from the sunset, and nothing is important in most of the sky. If you were to crop out 2/3 of the sky, leaving a very nice panorama. I think you'd have a much stronger photo.

Love the lines and color. A very nice abstract feeling to this. Well done.

One of the better Aurora shots I've seen in a while. Very very nice.

Great shot! Added to my favorites.

Wow, that's one big Black Bear, and so close too. A wonderful photo.

This is really nicely done. The evening light is really pretty, and the whisp of fog and breaking wave are really good. My only other thought is that the pink / magenta light in the foreground seems to be polluting the shadows, and looks a tiny bit unnatural. Usually the shadow areas will be more blue / cyan, even during this evening type of light. Still this would look just beautiful printed large and hanging on a wall.

Very cool shot. The dark sky and contrast work wonderfully.
