Well, first of all, I think the composition is good: good balance between B&W, good composition, good details. Second: yes, the flower gives me a "purity" sensation, so it's a good choice. Third, I hope you can see in "your" beautifull girl so much details as you saw in this flower. Regards, CC.

Yes, this is the most spontaneous photo I ever take (flys don't use to cooperate very much...) and I only notice the kids expression and the fly later.

I made some crop and add a border.

I don't know if B&W will work better. In my opinion, and in this composition the soil color works fine, because is all of one tone. Regards, CC.
