I had the same problem, only with my legs and forearm. Here's what helped me: start drinking gatorade before the event and continue to do so throughout. It wouldn't hurt to take a multivitamin each day as well. Many times it's a lack of potassium and/or hydration.

1: depends on how important it is to you and how badly you want the job. If you don't want to give up negatives, don't. Or, offer it to them at a price you'd be happy with. Take in consideration how much your average photo order would net you.
2: collages.net or imagequix.

Print right onto the CD using a Primera Signature CD printer. It can be reasonable or expensive depending upon the model you choose.

I hope it provides you a lot of enjoyment as part of a collection, because it's not worth much. They're a dime a dozen. You might be lucky to get $25.

Register your business with your city/county and get a CPA. I can't stress this enough.

Always beware of a study that benefits the organization that conducts the study. I'm not disagreeing with the results, just skeptical, because only good numbers for digital helps this organization's cause.

I bought a Mamiya 645AFD thinking like you, that I'd switch to digital later, but did you price a digital back for it? I didn't and wish I did. They're outrageously priced. BTW, I do like the camera.

If nobody has dibs on it, I'll take the whole lot.

Nice work, nice site. No negatives.

Happened just last week. My daughter (9) got her finger stuck in a hole of a shower drain cover. It went in past the knuckle and I tried everything to get it off. Took her to the emergency room and the doctor said she wished she had a camera to capture the moment. Doh! Would have never thought of that. I keep thinking of all the precious moments I could show this at- her graduation, wedding, grandkids...

I send a letter, explaining that it's strictly business, and give them a final date to send the deposit. Usually a month. If I don't receive anything by that date, I send a registered letter telling them their date is open to others, and to check with me to see if the date is still available before sending their deposit.

The best thing to do is to use your business name, location & slogan. Keep it short. Live broadcasts have a limited amount of time and need short copy. Something like "Cindy's Photography, downtown Knoxville, where art and creativity meet."

I agree, NEVER buy an extended warranty. It's a waste of money.

I know this isn't going to help after reading the other answers, but I prefer the bliss photos. Also like some of the momento.

I agree with everyone's locations. I would also suggest Wisconsin Dells. And, it's out of your way, but the best location in the entire state, IMHO: Door County!!

Britek. They're very reasonably priced.

UPS. It's insured automatically at $100, can be tracked and is a reasonable cost. You can also purchase more insurance for the package at your discretion.

You need fill flash. Looks like you're way underexposed.

hmmm... how do y'all know it's a she?

Kristin, I hate to break it to you, but you're right, there's not a whole lot of opportunities or money in the portrait business. You'd probably have to open your own studio and be successful if you want to make a good living at it. That said, if you love portrait photography, go for it! Life isn't all about money, follow your heart. I don't know specifics about the visual communications degree, but I have a bachelors in Radio/TV/Film, and that field isn't much better than photography. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
