Thanks, Alan. Not only will I think more about cropping out wasted space, but I'll try to think this way when shooting.

Cropped as suggested, to bring the runner more into view. She is
still dwarfed by the magnificent scene.

Trail to Mt. Baker

A very nice hike, with some challenging water crossings.

From a helicopter. Best 90 minutes behind a camera ever.

This is a single shot.

The sun came through the clouds just long enough to get a great view
of the dunes.

A friend of mine was the photographer at this wedding. I was just
there to watch him, and got this shot from a distance.

Nomar Garciaparra leads off third base for the Peoria Chiefs at
O'Brien Field in front of a record crowd. He is nearing the
completion of his rehab assignment after rupturing a groin muscle on
April 20th vs. the Cardinals in St. Louis. He is expected to be
back with the Cubs in early August.

Good job. I know this is a tough shot, because I've been there, and there really isn't a good place to stand. I wish a trial would wind down a bit, to get some better looks. The flow of water looks great

I was there May '04, and it was under 8 feet of snow. This is what I wanted to see. Good work.

I used the Bulb setting. Shutter speed was 13.6 sec, f/11, ISO 200, RAW. I tried several shutter speeds between 6 and 18, and this one came out best. I used Nikon Capture to dark just a bit. And a sturdy tripod.

The rain, first in 6 weeks, let up just in time for the show.

Seen better days

Miller Park is a small town zoo that has a nice collection of
injured birds, including hawks, bald eagles, and vultures.

Too bad he didn't have the tag on his back. He would've been out! Very sharp picture. Wish I could get seats like that.

Best photo of a fighter jet that I have ever seen.

You can see her face, she's wearing sunglasses and a blue dress, but as I said, it would've been better had I been 2 steps to the left.

This is my dad's burial, with full military honors. He was a WWII
vet, a Navy Ensign, and a dive-bomber pilot. I know I should've
been two steps to the left, to get a better angle of my mom, but it
was hard to see through teary eyes, and it all happened so fast.

More of my red rock tour.

Thanks for looking. One of my favorite places.

I have lots of peonies as well. Too bad they didn't last long this year.
