I really like this shot. The eyes certainly show emotion here. I like the crop as well. Might want to get rid of the drool.
Congrats

We were working out of a small airstrip in the middle of nowhere in
Canada's North. Before we could take off we had to get the Caribou
off the airstrip.
Please view using the larger setting.

Your initial post made no mention of a sea wall. Having mentioned that and viewing the pic you sent me it all makes sense to me now. I had figured the wave was breaking or curling over from the top. Thanks for the clarification.
-
I think this wave is photoshopped a bit!...If this was a real wave that girl would be in serious trouble!
-
The crop is also well done

This was timed perfectly. I really like the detail particularily in the feet and head. The position of the feathers on the edge of the wing to facilitate this dive show what amazing creatures they really are!
Amazing! I could look at this for quite a while.

I was doing the same thing on Thursday!

I prefer the slight head turn on yours to the straight profile on yours. YOu only get so many chances before it disappears below the surface again.

I took this photo this morning on a calm lake in Canada's Arctic.
Comments and Criticism always welcome.
Thanks,

I shot this while ice fishing on Baker Lake in Canada's Nunavut
Territory. What do you think? I need help. When I upload this photo
the detail does not really come though until you look at the larger
version but then it does not really fit on the screen. What
specifically should I do to "optimize" the resolution for "full page
view"

I took this picture on Jackfish Lake in the western NorthWest
Territories of Canada. When I upload this photo the detail does not
really come though until you look at the larger version but then it
does not really fit on the screen. What specifically should I do
to "optimize" the resolution for "full page view"

I tried to play with the cropping in order to add to the "wintery"
feel of the photo. What do you think?

I was working on the north west side on Hudson's Bay in the Canadian
Arctic. One night I saw this hawk on my way back to camp but had no
camera. I ran back to get it and luck was with me as it was still in
the same spot. I took two shots and it flew away into the night!
Comments and tips appreciated.

Photo taken in Northern Ontario. Trying to further my black and
white studies.
All comments welcome.

I am starting to take some black and white shots. This is a casual
but favorite photo of my daughter. I welcome all comments...thank
you.

Thanks Michael,
I was just playing with the photo and decided to see how the free space above and below the wing could be taken up with the text. I took it just after takeoff one morning. I was hoping for more of a critique to find ways to improve such a shot. I was surprised to get the 1's and 2's for ratings with no advice on how to make it better or to specifically tell me what they did not like about it....after all that's what photo net is all about.

This photo was taken when a Mennonite family moved to an area near
my home to start farming the land "the old fashioned way".
Comments are welcome.

We were working out of the airport in Nakina, Northern Ontario,
Canada flying airborne geophysical surveys. I snapped this photo of
an Otter taking off and made it into a quick advertisement for the
owner.
As always I welcome any comments!

The texture on this photo suberb! Congradulations. 7/7

This is a one in a million shot! Despite the precarious position the bear is in it still manages not only to catch a pink salmon but it also seems to keep it's eye on the photographer.
Fantastic! 7/7
By the way, who in their right mind (unless you were the bear) would rate this a 1 for originality? It must have been finger trouble!

I very much like how the crashing wave seems to merge with the lower level of the clouds.Very powerful!

I took this photo while out on job in a very remote section of
Northern Quebec. Caribou were migrating to their winter feeding
grounds.
All comments are welcome!

I stopped the truck on my way from Fort Nelson to Watson Lake Yukon
in order to quickly snap a photo of this young sheep on a rock
outcrop. It's mother was just up on the next ledge. The light was
getting scarce and a beam was peaking though the trees.
