mandar kulkarni 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Well timed, now I think what if the snap was taken when he grabed the fish?? Anyways, good one. Link to comment
jimg 0 Posted September 2, 2005 I hope you got a sequence of shots when photographing this amazing eagle. Link to comment
ole_petter_drangsholt 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Thanks for all comments! The shot was taken from a small boat. We're on the west cost in the middel of Norway. We spent about 10 hours dayly for three days. So I got a lot of shots, but the 20D and the photographer is too slow to get a perfect series of the eagle's dive from beginning to end. You can see norway-nature.com if you are curious about the location. Link to comment
rafikrkamel 1 Posted September 2, 2005 Amazing capture really, great timing n action shot. However,IMHO i think some cropping on the upper part of the frame would b good. Congrats and best regards! Link to comment
thierryvezon 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Excellent.Do you think Miguel Lasa took pictures of this bird in the same place,? Link to comment
ole_petter_drangsholt 0 Posted September 2, 2005 I've tried to look at Miguel Lasas pictures. It seems to me that they are taken on the same site. It's a beautiful place with a very nice guide. I know a number of European photographers have visited the place. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted September 4, 2005 I was in the northern part of Norway this july and I had a short (4hrs) trip by boat to see the eagles (but also to fish and sightsee).Only two eagles came swooping down to catch the fish we waved for them. The first time I tried to get a shot, but didn't succeed 'cause I wasn't very prepared and my AF is damn slow (Nikkor 300mm f/4 IF ED). This way I didn't even enjoy the experience of seeing the animal with my own eyes. The second time I just looked and appreciated the whole experience. From this comes my congratulation for you, your dedication to the subject and your techical skills. This is indeed the photo I'd like to have shot! peter_moore2 0 Posted September 5, 2005 This was timed perfectly. I really like the detail particularily in the feet and head. The position of the feathers on the edge of the wing to facilitate this dive show what amazing creatures they really are! Amazing! I could look at this for quite a while. Link to comment
