  1. I was wondering if I can use a 1g xd card or just the 1g microdrive?

I don't plan on using movie mode. I'm going to Jamaica and want all

the storage I can get. And by the way, what's the largest microdrive,

I can get a 2g for $120 at B&H? Thanks for any help.

  2. This is very informative. I just want to make sure my film and digital formats will be safe. I'm flying from Atlanta to Miami and then boarding a cruise ship. We will be debarking in Grand Cayman and imbarking. Then debarking in Jamaica and of course imbarking. Then debarking in Miami and later flying back to ATL. Will my "stuff" be safe? By the way, the ship also has x-rays. I'm really concerned about this, since I would not be able to replace anything. Thanks
  3. I'm going on a cruise at the end of October. Last time I went my

camera didn't survive the trip. I'm not sure if their xray machine

had anything to do with it or not. This time I have a digital outfit.

It would be very hard for me to replace it for a long time. Will

these xrays harm my gear? And what about the metal detectors you have

to walk through? I was going to just hang my camera around my neck

and keep my memory cards in my pocket until I got through. Will my

    stuff be safe?

  4. Thanks for all your responses. I have a fuji S7000. I guess I'll just have to make do with the exposure compensation, once I figure it out. I'm kinda new to this but I'll figure it out. Thanks again.
  5. The baseball games seem to last longer here lately. The lenses I have

range from f2.8 to f8.......film and digital. Are there any lenses

that zoom at least 300mm w/f1.4 or more? And by the way what would

be an average compensation, if f2.8 is too dark?

  6. Eric gave some good advice. Do that and in any spare time check out the course from New York Institute of Photography. I'm almost finished. I have one more unit. I just started in July. www.nyip.com It's $1000.00 but you can pay $35 a month or 50/50, anyway you want. Any questions, you can email me. hrf62@yahoo.com
  7. Thank you, I'll remember this next weekend. You can look at all my baseball shots on yahoo if you want to..http://photos.yahoo.com/hrf62 and let me know what you think. Some are a little too soon and some are a little too late...but I'll keep practicing. Thanks again.
  8. Thanks guys. My lens is not quite long enough on my digital, so I zoomed and cropped. No resizing. My film cam has a longer lens but it'll be a few days before I get those. I was so intimidated by the other photogs there. They had the high dollar lenses that could see a flea on a dog's butt. But I had a good time. I'm going again next Saturday. I've got a lot to learn.<div>00BTvQ-22328284.thumb.jpg.d0d08ddf3e6435b6523c93af8bd4831b.jpg</div>
  9. I finally got my press pass and went to my first game Saturday. I

zoomed and cropped in PS elements. All the images are a little soft,

maybe I need to adjust the sharpness in my camera. South Carolina

Gamecocks 6- Clemson Tigers 3. Oh well better luck next time.<div>00BTmT-22325884.jpg.920cebd700aa318b977fe68c7dd0ed8b.jpg</div>
