  1. Hi All,

    I purchased a used Canon EOS 1N D, with a digital back(Kodak DCS-3c),

its an older one by far, but VERY clean! I finally was able to locate a charger

and PCMCIA card for it, and plugged it in. Everything appears to work just as

it should: ie: Lens focusing, light, read-outs, etc. etc.... When I went to

download the photos on my laptop, the photos appear to be distorted, and ONLY

In Black and White! HELP! Is there something I'm not doing, or do you think

that this old classic is not functioning properly? I only let the battery

charge for about 1 hour, but the charger logo showed a full charge, so that

shouldn't be a problem. I also thought the card was the culprit, so I uploaded

some photos off of my desktop to it, and re-read it, and they looked fine.

Since I don't have a manual for this, I thought someone could give me some

input on these? I know that there's at least "one" of you out there who once

used one of these about 10 years ago, and could give me some pointers! Thanks

    again!

  2. Hi,

I just recently purchased a Zeiss Super Ikonta 531 on an auction, and was told

that it will take 16 frames on 120 film. It has the 2 red windows in the back.

When I opened up the back, there is some print on the door that says 6x9cm on

    Zeiss B2 film, 2 1/4x 3 1/4. Is this a 6x9 format and should I use both windows

when using the film, or just one? Also, how many frames do I get with this

Super Ikonta? I'm a little confused! Thanks for the help.

    Mike

  3. Thanks for the information John! I guess I really did get a good deal on it, it was newly listed for a buy it now, couldn't pass it up! I hope the faint haze won't affect the photos, everything else on this camera is in pristine condition! Thanks everyone! I just picked up some Kodak UC 120 film, I'll see how it does.
  4. I just picked up this very tiny Zeiss Super Ikonta 531 on the **ay site, it

seems like a very well-made camera! I don't know how many pics I can get out of

the 120 film?? I believe it is a 6x9 format. It is in great condition for its

age, everything works on it! Compared to my newer digital (actually older for a

digital!) it looks tiny! Any info on this old Zeiss would be great. I plan on

taking some landscape shots with it, like the large negatives. BTW, was $19.00

a good price to pay for it??<div>00I3e3-32396884.JPG.b00290faefdca511dd61dbe87a133c6c.JPG</div>

  5. I acquired a Yashica GSN, everything looked good, but when I ran a

roll of B&W film through it, the edges of the photos were washed out,

and once in awhile there was a light streak in the center. Is this a

light leak or do you think it's the film?? It was Kodak c-41 B&W,

probably sitting on the shelf for awhile! Thanks<div>00FQJI-28450984.thumb.JPG.80317f4428884b93b1e44d4cb8f1d9a7.JPG</div>

  6. Hi,

I acquired an old Rolleiflex Standard from 1932, it's the one that

has the "2" red windows for viewing the film, one is on the back, one

is on the bottom. I am missing the cap piece for the bottom, and was

wondering if anyone knows where to get this small round piece?? I've

been using black tape, but thought the original cap would be nice to

have! I'm sure they were lost quite readily back in their days,

because they are so tiny! Maybe there's one lying in the bottom of a

    box somewhere???( WISHFUL THINKING!! :-)))

  7. Hi,

I picked up a "really" clean A-1 camera from a yard sale, it looks

great!( The person was selling it for someone, so they had no info on

it). It didn't have a battery, so I put in a brand new 6 volt

battery, and the battery check light works as should, the programmed

aperature works as should, BUT, the only LED display I get in the

viewfinder is EEEEEE!! I can't seem to get it to display anything

else. I went to a online manual site, and saw that if you get the

EEEE on the display, to manipulate the little lever next to the frame

cocking lever, and this is supposed to reset it, but no luck! I've

tried removing the battery and putting it back in, but nothing but

the EEEEE. Maybe the circuitry is bad??? It does seem to operate fine

in the Program mode though, I just can't see what the speed is, etc.

Maybe I can live with this flaw, I can still set the speed/aperature

myself, and the program mode does work, but i just can't see the

display. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
