It is interesting to see these bats. They are a little bit different that the regular bat. As you can see there ears are not as big as one would expect of a bat, that's because these ones can see so they don't need to navigate using sound like their smaller nocturnal cousins.

Malayan flying fox, the largest bat in the world. They are HUGE!

I think this is a Praire dog of some kind. One of them would be on the
look out on high ground for potential dangers to the others in the
community bellow at groud level.
The way he was sitting there alone on top of a hughe rock was very funny.

I wanted to reflect the change that is taking place in Miami in terms
of new developments. The half tored down building was such a contrast
in the middle of the city that I couldn't resist taking a shot.

I worked with PS CS2, don't know if earlier versions include it, but I used a gradient overlay and loaded the Noise Samples set. I changed the blend mode to color burn with it's opacity set to 80%
I corrected levels to add more contrast and hue / saturation.
The noise smaples gradient set is really cool. I just discovered myself also.
I have more color range clipping than I would like to though, but I'll go back and rework it eventually.

Very well done!

I just realised the female is a 7 legged spider!
-
These are very popular spiders in FL. Females are BIG and have
orange/yellow bodies with hairy legs. The male, (seen here behind the
female) is much smaller and is usually found on female webs... mmmm,
sounds vaguely familiar...
Thanks for watching.

Thanks Norman! I saw your Canada photos and they spectacular!
I agree it's a little dark. I did use Shadow/Highlight tool in this one :) the thing is that this shot was taken at ISO200 which in my camera produces a lot of noise. If I lighten it up more the noise would start to show up really ugly. Also, the sun was getting in/out of the clouds so I guess this one was when there was less light in the track, should have increased the exposure. It's really difficult to take these kind of shots, a fact that people giving 2s and 3s don't realize I guess.
Thanks for your critique Norman.

Formula 1's last season??

I liked the reflections on the black and white paint job, the patterns
and gradients they created. Very Deco. Comments welcome.
Thanks for watching.

This is a new try on a similar previously submited shot. Cropped it to
2:1 so that I could leave the distracting top section out of the frame
and have Schumacher car alone in it. Tell me what you think.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and for your comments!. I also felt that the wires would affect the shot negativelly , but as I was shooting I saw that they actually added to the sense of speed quite nicely. So I aimed for that in subsequent photos, this one came out just as I wanted it to be.
