i love it too...i found myself actualy having to look around the blades of grass to see the deer as if I was there...very interesting and well executed. I'm not an animal rights extreemist or anything, but I think hunting with a camera the way to go...

looks like somebody is about to lose some fingers or a hand for that matter... nice shot.

Nice composition. At first I was reminded of Miss Sarajevo. If you're not familiar it was a documtary by Bill Carter made famous by U2. The documentary was about the resilience of the Sarajevo people who held a beauty pageant while under siege. Cropping was mentioned, but I think I would take the opposite route. Depending on what you want to communicate, if it were I, I would open up the image and show more destruction. Cropping it would be the same old picture of a beautiful woman in a gorgeous dress. Opening the image and showing more destruction evokes a feeling that something beautiful can come from rubble. Just my 2?
