It was uninentionally to be seen as the focal point. I used it as a mean by which the viewer could be lead from the bottom of the scene to the top or vice versa, just as a visual anchor to add more interest other than the church and the rocks themselves.

As far as the BG goes this was shot outside, not in a studio. On the right BG is a tree and the left BG are the branches and leaves in the distance.
