    Do you leave an indication of what your rate was? I ask because in a way I think you do well to rate anon. this will give the photo more chances to get in the standard trp list. On the other hand I have had comments that sometimes conflict with rates given by commenter. an extreme example: Comment" excellent ..." rate:6. Unless I am mistaken that would be a 7, not that I mind getting a six:). Also by knowing the rate you can browse the member highest rates given and get a more relative idea of what both comment and rate ment: I have 7s given that by browsing the raters highest rates I honestly disregard and 5s that I consider a big compliment. Hope I made some sense. Regards.

    Any problem if use a chicken as a model? Plenty of sunsets here but I find seagulls too wild, chicken are more obidient. If the kid smiling has a missing tooth, does it mean an extra point or minus one? I am eager to start puting in practice the valuable advices I learned here.

    There has been some discussion about the rate recent feature today. I

    have two questions: 1- I posted 3 photos and the first got some rates

    and comments the two after got neither for almost 24 hours. Shortly

    after I deleted the first the second posted started getting rates. My

    question is: Could posting several photos cause under some

    circumstances cause some not to be "visible"? 2- Is it know to the

    site administrators/moderators how long in average does a person look

    at a photo on the rate recent feature before they rate? Just curious.

    There isnt any type of complaint here just a doubt on question 1 and

    curiosity on question 2. I am not in hurry to get a reply but I would

    apreciate any attention given.

    All ratings are abstract, sometimes sureal;) More seriously I just posted 2 photos on that category one got 6 ratings in maybe an hour the other none in maybe 45 minutes. On the rate recent 24 hours view there are only 3 photos (mine is second place, all got medals:))Maybe abstract is less atractive for rating maybe its just monday. A few days ago some photos I posted there actualy got a good number of rates (even high ones) and some comments.

    From my experience the Imation are very good I also use and like Verbatim an memorex. One thing should be considered: Sometimes the recorder makes a big difference, you should get a few cds 2 or 3 from several brands and preferably from diferent lots, record all with the same file and then use a quality recording analyzer (Nero or some other) and see if there are any diferences on the number of errors of the recording. Obviously this all takes some time....

    I cant say it happened to me in the way you describe David, but ratings do seem to take longer to appear. I might be wrong but sometime ago a photo would reach 10 ratings in some hours and now it takes more time. I think this is more true on weekends. Again I might be wrong, but it is what it seems like to me.

    PN is virtualy my only feedback these days. I dont always agree with the ratings in fact I think my highest rated photo (til yesterday)"Spring on ice" (somewhere in my folders) is overrated I think others are underrated "women" for example. But that is not the point.I thought I saw a pattern on the 3/3 I was getting and tried to find out if someone else "saw" it too.

    Here in Portugal I never noticed any ads in portuguese or by portuguese companies. Wich is not to surprising considering that we are a small market going through a big crisis. On the other hand it surprises me that there arent some ads in portuguese given the fact that it is the sixth more spoken language in the world. I think the only add I saw that was not in english was in Italian.

    Alexandre, I agree with you, We shouldnt be seeking praise or unanimity. My point was that it seemed to be a pattern on how and when the 3/3 apeared and that would be strange. Nicholas, I dont have that many sevens and if I ever gave a 7/7 to anyone who had given me one it happened(that I know or can remember) a couple of times and I was not paying any bil. Maybe Brian is right and its just psicology, I will take is word for it.
