<p>My R3 is made in portugal! Leica install the factory in the first year's of the 80's or in 1980 in Vila Nova de Famalicão! I know that they made several of the R models, from R3 to R8 (and enven 9 if I am not mistaken). The R6 was the model made in germany again, or completely made in germany and in the new factory of Solms!<br>

Did not know that they also did M cameras heres! I also do not know if the factory has a shop, it would be great if so. Was only a matter of 2 hour journey to make some shopping, ehehhe!</p>

Thank You Mark. The batteries for the earing aid are the right size? Or it's best to do the first solution? Or both? Yes, I already take a Ilford 400 B&W and, when the light meter worked, I manage to get it right. Thank You.

I bought recently a Pentax SP 1000. In the manual of the camera the type of

batteries to use in the camera were the Mallory PX-400 or RM-400-R. Since this

are no longer avaliable, the battery that replaced this ones, the Excell

S400PX, I couldn't find in any of the photo shops of my town.

They send me to the watch shops, to find a battery. I manage to get one,the

Renata-44, that has the right height, but smaller diameter. So the light meter

works fine, but when the camera shake a bit, the batery moves and to get the

light meter to work again, I have to ajust the batery again, and again etc.

So, can I put something, a piece of paper to do prevent the batery movement?

Or it would affect the "job" of the batery or do I need to use conductive

paper,like aluminum paper (kitchen one)? Or if I do this with the last kind a

paper, do I risk it to short-circuit the light meter system?

And by the look of the simbol, it's spoose to be a U-boat camera, but the kriegsmarine eagle is wrong, they have the wings strait, and the kriesgmarine did'nt have specific cameras to the U-boot waffen. But I think that it's cool for collection.

I don't care much about the aspect of the cameras if they have the mecanical and optics parts working fine. But I think also that the viewfinder and rangefinder are very dirty. But is the cheapest body I've see. Here in Portugal seller's tend to over rate the prices only because the item is old or of the top camera marks.

My question, whait to have the possibility to buy a M3 with lens, or buy a M3

body, for much less and buy also the adapter to use my screw mount elmar?

Also a body of a M3, so you think that 750 euros is expensive or not?

Thank You All. Yes, well My IIIc, I bought in ebay and it was ok in all aspects. But in know the many problems in buying there. So I ask were on-line to buy. I always like more the M3, but I decide to ask You first since many You guys know more. In terms of money to spent, by now I only have 570 � and I want to gather more. I also prefer buy a camera with a lens. In ebay M3 or M6 are more cheap without the lens. But thank You

Good afternoon, I've finally decide to put some money to buy a M leica camera.

My question is to choose beteween the M3 and the M6 .85x. I always like the

M3, but the M & has light metter. And were to buy it? I form Portugal and only

know Ebay. And the price question? M3 because I may arrange most cheap or buy

the M6 wich cost more?

Please help me. Off topic, I manage to get a tipod but I can'y use my leica

IIIc in it, because the hole in the camera is bigger. Is there a adaptor?

I'm a shooter and a colector, but I know when to buy or not a camera. It was in a monthly market, so if I wanted to buy the camera now , I couldn't. Next leica I'll buy is a m3, when I have the money to do that. Thanks for Your answers.
