<p>If you use a high ISO >400, try to expose to the right on the histogram. In other words, 1/3 to 1 full stop over exposed. But be careful not to over do it and blow out the highlights. When you under expose an image, the noise becomes more exaggerated.</p>

<p>I own the 100-400, but if I had to do it all over I'd go with the prime 400. I like the 100-400, but I rarely use it at less than 400 and it weighs more than the prime so I'd be better off with the prime.</p>
