New to Lightroom. When I reopen Lightroom after a previous session, I see my catalog photos in the filmstrip at the bottom of the screen. Shouldn't I see a an empty film strip until I import the photos I want to work with? Or do I have to export at the end of each session? Thank you.

When you have finished the Develop module and you wish to empty the que so that you now load a new file, how do you "clear" the que without losing any of the photos. In other words, I want to continue working but not involve a new file with my already "developed" photos.

Just to let everyone know who has been waiting on an updated Nikon transfer utility for Vista 64, the Sony 17 in 1 multi-card reader/writer with Drive Letter Recognition Software DOES work under Vista 64. This is the only dependable way I have found to bring raw & jpeg files to your PC for post processing. It does not support Macs.

Wayne, were you using Vista drivers on this install of Win7? Have you tried any printers or scanners yet?

Can anyone explain Nikon's indifference to updating their software to Vista 64-bit compatability? Not just scanners are affected, but their proprietary software for cameras. This only makes the case for the DNG standard pushed by Adobe. Canon released Vista 64 upgrades for their camera software on 12/28/08. I wonder how many Nikon owners have felt the letdown?

I have a raw file in the camera (Canon EOS 20d). I have downloaded
and verified installation of plug-in 3.1 which supports this camera.
When I connect to Photoshop CS2, I cannot find the picture and no
camera raw dialog. When I check the preferences in camera raw, I do
see 3.1 in the titlebar. Is the camera raw dialog supposed to
automatically pop-up when it senses the presence of a raw file? Are
there settings for file association which have to be made? Any help
or comment would be helpful? I have looked for similar problem in
prior posts but the usual difficulty is improper installation of the
plug-in. Thanks.

I ordered a new focusing screen. Assuming the new screen is much
brighter, I assume I will have to adjust the AE III prism to bring
the exposure back to "0" with the old screen. Does this mean I will
be making "-" adjustments to the EV? Any comments are welcome.

Is anyone using a Nikon SB-28 Flash with a Bronica ETRSi. I have been
using the hot shoe on the speedgrip for my flash connection and
setting the zoom flash to 50 mm for a 75 mm Bronica Lens. Results are
sporadic. What settings do you use? Shooting ASA 400 with camera
setting of 1/250 sec. & Automatic (not TTL)on the flash.

I'm confused. The Diafine packaging includes suggested exposure times
of say 1600 for Tri-x 400, but no recommendation to increase process
times beyond 3 min for Part A & 3 min for Part B. However the Massive
Development chart shows stock solution times of say 9.5 min for 1600.
Am I to assume that the time for Part A should be 9.5 min. and Part B
also 9.5 min. or is Part B held to the usual 3 minutes? I intend to
shoot TriX at 800 or 1600 and process in Diafine (Acufine) Thanks for
your comments.

I assume that this model, like the SQ-A allows you to remove the
crank to attach the Speed Grip by pulling the pin that attaches the
crank handle to the body?
