    <p>The camera you decide to use is but a tool. Having a 'better' camera body, and a 'better' lens will allow you to create images that are good. How well you can sell your images is another issue.</p>

    <p>If the Tamron is the type with 'screw-post' focus control, it may never work right with the D3200. You need a AF-S type lens. Nikon has taken away the type of focus system (like on the D90) that would allow you to use old Nikon autofocus lenses.</p>

    <p>Only a suggestion: you have a sample shot of water drops. You have a 105mm lens that goes like a 157mm lens on your DX camera body. Have you attempted the same type of image with a Nikon AF-S 40mm f2.8G DX Micro-Nikkor lens? That would make your image seem taken with a 60mm lens, and give your auto-focus a chance to work better up close.</p>
