1.
Helo Peter!
It everything depends what kind of photography You prefer, if You like street photography, portraits and more artistic point of view I think standard 50mm lens would be good choice for FF. I live in Europe and I was in these three cities and I think 24-105 lens would be more useful for general travel photography. This cities in Europe especialy this old parts were built in Middle Ages and they are very compact and tight and 24mm lens would be more useful in such a places.
Both Prague and Budapest (it was 2 cities: Buda&Pest) are cities located on two banks of river and 105mm would be useful for long distance views.
In Sweden weather can be tricky (very windy and rainy) and I would take professional lens, 24-105 would be better choice as well.
Have a great trip
p.s. Beware of pickpockets in crowded places.

  2. Hi!

My oldest CF card by Sandisk is ten years old and I have no problem with it. Only one Emtec CF card was damaged out of the box but changed on warranty. You`d rather forget about your small size CF card than it brake down. If you care about cards and carry them in box you won`t have problem with dust in pinholes and card will work for long time.

    All the best

  3.
Hi! I like this lens it`s great to use. Push/pull design has adventages e.g. you can zoom very quickly and you can zoom and focus in this same time. Yes problem with dust is now officialy confirmed by Canon. But this lens is lighter than 70-200 2.8 and focuses to 1,5 meter. Canon EF 400 5,6 focuses to few meters. 100-400L IS is versatile lens especialy for full frame. The best lens for money I ever got. Grab it when you need super telephoto for good price while you still can. Or spend $$$$ on new one, depends on your wallet.
All the best

  4.
Hi! I use both systems: PC with Vista Pro and 4GB RAM and Mac Mini OSX with 8GB RAM on similar mashines about 5-6 years old. Mac is more reliable system, during this years I had to reset computer maybe 7or 8 times. Windows system stop working more often about three times more often. When I`m working with files from 7D in Photoshop and Bridge both computer are similiar in speed e.g. developing RAW in Canon DPP or photoshop cs4(WIN) cs5(Mac). Maybe Mac is a little bit faster, but it isn`t big deal or worth to pay difference.
What is better in Mac: you can add more RAM for example 8GB or more. (To do it in Windows system you should buy 64 bit version and that is extra cost)
What is better in Windows: you can use more programs (and free editions) and equipment like scanners, disc, pc cards and so on. (You won`t do it on Mac Pro in cheap way:) )
But I like working on Mac in Canon DPP more:)

  5.
Hi!
Both are heavy loud and durable machines. Eos 1N doesn`t have Ettl and high sync but it`s more durable I would say. Eos3 is second best modern eos after 1V. I used Eos ElanIIe with eye control it works OK but isn`t reliable, after repair: one shutter, broken cover lock and lens button off I can say it pretty sure. But it survived falling from backpack on cobblestone hilly road with minor bruise. Thats why I decided to buy grand-grand-father of EOS 3 which is Eos 630 (designed as backpack camera for EOS1). Camera Menu is crazy but it is solid small fast loud workhorse I love to use.

  6.
Hello!
I think if You use cheap battery it can cause some problems, but if you have good quality different battery, it is ok. I use replacement battery grip and mix canon and delkin battery in EOS 7D without problem. But the delkin is "smart" battery with capacity info that can be checked in camera menu. The only minus is smaller capacity but quality is ok.
All the best

  7.
I shoot with 70-200L f4 without IS and I see how great IS works in EF 100-400L IS. Photos from 100-400IS are sharper than 70-2004L in the same conditions. Yes, its worth every penny but if You do a lot of photos inside I would think about used lens EF 70-200 f2.8. You can get it in similar price. If you have money don`t hesitate take IS version, if not- take canon 70-200L f4 You`ll be happy too.

  8.
Hello!
Ive got NEC 2490wuxi2 screen and use it for photo editing on Mac.
This is great LCD to use for photo editing and colours are better than on Eiyo S1921 (which is more saturated but not so correct). It got 3 year warranty in Europe so I wouldnt bother to buy used 2year LCD, but check ow many hours it worked. Remember NEC 2690 is wide gamut monitor.
People who use X -rite write it works with NEC 2490 bute better checki it yourself
When you buy used check for dead pixels.
9.
Hello!
Nadine gave You very good advice, sometimies when I shoot in rainy day I use duck tape to protect upper buttons in camera but plastic bag is grat sollution. I remember that one NG photographer Tomaszewski when shooting coal mine used normal kitchen plastic foil (this one you use to preserve food freshness) and it worked wery well to protect equipment.
If You shoot wedding first time you really should have second camera. Sister as assistant is ok, but I would prefer to have camera with tele than assistant . When shooting I usually use manual mode especialy in dark churches, because it gives control on shutter time and aperture but Program mode is save, if it dont use slow times.
What ISO? As low as possible but now days cameras give usefull ISO1000.
Shooting RAW is best sollution because you dont have to worry about white balance. If you dont have enough memory card, better buy more. Remember to have spare battery for camera, flash etc.
When using flash it is the best to have off-camera flash (eg. metz 45) or diffusor or bouncer.
As William wrote wedding`s can move very quickly so allways arrange meeting before and talk with bride and groom and ask how they plan wedding, ask them about every detail. Sometimes they say: "Oh, I forget to tell you, we plan group photos for all 300 guest in front of Church OK? You got this special ladder, don`t you?" or "Did you made shot of my shoes (Flowers, best friend, beloved grandma) it was so important for me?" Of course I`m joking but better ask them about everything.
Be calm, don`t worry, everybody shoot first wedding someday.
After wedding remmember do backup of your photos, dont erase photos from card until You have at least 2 backups in 2 different places (DVD, hard disk etd).
Good luck :)
10.
Hi!
Praktica MTL 5 is very nice and durable camera, but remember use advance film lever just before shot, if you advance film and shake camera too much it sometimes cause mirror to hang up. To realese mirror to normal position you have to take off lens and press small latch in mirror box. Wish you fun and good photos.
11.
Hi!
Mac mini is very good computer that you can easy tune-up yourself and spare more than this 500$ for e.g.very good non-glossy IPS screen. I work with 2009 late mac mini 2.26GHz added 4GB ram and external disc and I`m very happy. Hard disc could be faster, I work also on PC with similar specification and PC downloads photos faster but opens slower ex.RAW. You can put faster disk or SSD if you have planty money but I wanted quiet computer I could work at night and external disk with FW800 is ok for me. I work with tons of images and used Photoshop CS5 trial version it worked without problem. I opened and was working with very huge images about 600MB and more, and mini wasn`t fast but worked ok with it. If you want faster machine for bucks iMac is maybe better especialy for video but working with glossy screen isn`t nice for me. Besides upgrading Imac isn`t easy, imac got some problems with quality and it is not removable as mini.

  12.
Hello !
It is common problem with praktica MTL 5. If you press film advance lever and camera is ready to shoot the camera mirror can hangs up especialy if you shake the camera. As said Subbarayan Prasanna if you look carefully under the mirror there is small catch you have to move gently and mirror flips down. Remember to advance film with lever shot just before shot.
13.
Here it is comperasion between sigma and tamron 17-35 . Tamron wins I think.
<a href="http:/www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=391&Camera=453&Sample=0&FLI=0&API=0&LensComp=371&CameraComp=453&SampleComp=0&FLIComp=0&APIComp=0</a">http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=391&Camera=453&Sample=0&FLI=0&API=0&LensComp=371&CameraComp=453&SampleComp=0&FLIComp=0&APIComp=0

  14.
Hello!
I use Tamron 17-35 and Canon 17-40L, Tamron is sharp wide open, even sharper than canon and 17mm from Tamron is wider than 17mm from Canon. In Canon and Tamron front lens don't move what is good. Canon has a little bit better contrast and has sealing what is good in bad weather. But on the full frame Tamron is said to be soft in corners and canon is ok. If I were you I would think about 28-75 Tamron or 24-85 canon (nice lens). I used 20mm Carl Zeiss jena on film body and it was sometimes too wide even for landscape so 17-35 on full frame is crazy wide. I would buy 24 prime or zoom with range 24-80. There was good lens 20-35 lens from canon maybe you will find it on ebay.

  15.
Hello! I recomend You slik 700dx it is great (really) tripod that can take almost anything (except 500mm lens). It is similar to the Manfrotto 055 but lighter especially If You take legs alone + ball head from Manfrotto. The only drawback its little too heavy to take for long Mountain trip and legs are long. And center column is a little bit too long so you can`t go to the ground unless you invert the column (what is possible) but you can buy short center column if you do a lot of close-to-ground photography. I used manfrotto 055 and slik 700dx, slik is nicer, knobs faster to use, very, very solid.
