Thanks for all the comments. What doesn't show in this picture is the huge scale of the overhanging wall above that is hundreds of feet high!
-
I appreciate all the comments. My wife and I spent a couple hours at this great view point on Hwy 12 waiting for our dinner reservation at Hell’s Backbone Grill in Boulder (well worth the wait - our fav. eats in UT).
-
Most excellent! It has it all - subtle tones, balance, leading lines, and falling snow. It does look like you have a few dust spots on the lower left snow to clean up.
-
Nice composition with great depth. I'd like to see a version with less saturation - while dramatic, it doesn't look natural (not sure if that was your goal).

Taken from UT Hwy 12 on a fall evening - part of a time-lapse sequence
shot on a Sony A7rII

I think that a nude, or semi (flowing diaphanous gown) could have taken this to the next level. Nice light and processing.

Shot from Hwy 12 in the Escalante region of Utah last fall. Great clouds that
day.
-
Nicely done in every way. Exposure is spot on and the leading lines to the stark tree top it off.
-
Perfect exposure, great composition, and nice processing.
-
Nice composition and subject, but I'd like to see it without so much GND up top and a bit brighter overall.
-
I'd say the window pane ruined it - doesn't add anything, but makes it blurry.
-
I'd like the focus to extend through to the pedal tips. Some more contrast would be nice too.
-
Doesn't do much for me - sky washed out (uninteresting clouds), dull - lack of contrast, and nothing really compelling in the subject (but that's just me).
-
Great shot, perfect leading lines. Saturation is high, but appropriate, color balance is also spot on. Technically perfect and esthetically wonderful.

Sony RX100 handheld, 3 verticals stitched in ACR, Converted to B&W with Silver FX Pro.

Pano shot with my RX100 on the hike to Casidy Arch in Capital Reef NP.

Taken at Bryce NP - I slept next to my camera while shooting a time lapse,
then woke to rain. All was well.

Thanks for all the comments. David, I like it in color also, but using daylight balance the mountains are a bit blue-green. If I wanted to get the birds sharp I should have shot at a higher ISO/shutter speed, but I barely saw them as I snapped a couple, then they were gone.

I much prefer this one to the previous picture (where I can see the line of the GND filter in the trees). Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories of climbing there years ago.
-
Thanks for the larger version. Well executed, but perhaps not correctly titled since it looks like this is well after sunrise, just cloudy or a ridge behind blocking the sun. I'm a sucker for sun on the mountain with dark clouds behind shots like this.

Got this near my house in Lake Stevens WA. Sony A7rII, LAEA-3
adapter + Tamron 150-600mm.

Calm late summer afternoon at one of my favorite close to home
mountain lakes.

I'm afraid this one doesn't grab me. The sign is just a distraction, blocking the MW, although taking it away wouldn't make for an outstanding shot either - just a typical tree horizon. Perhaps I'm growing jaded with so many nice star pics out there now. To create a truly great MW picture really takes some planning for an interesting foreground - something I continue to struggle with myself, but it's sure fun trying.

I loved using my tele zoom to find abstract compositions of light and
shadow in Lower Antelope Canyon.
