Mark, the black paper background is about 2 meters away from the subjects, the main light is placed in such a way that no light will hit the background at all, actually it was at the right side of the camera, slightly facing down. It just so happen that the cloth is so "un-reflective" that it become almost invisible. That's why you should always ask your models to bring a few set of cloths no matter what. Thanks for your appreciation.
