Peter Hogan, who owns www.monochromephotography.com tells me that he has agreed with Kate, Barry's widow, to also market Barry?s chemicals. Peter tells me that he is not just re-packaging Barry?s chemicals as his own, but rather that they will be marketed alongside his own products, which have been used and refined by Peter and his friends for quite some years. Peter tells me he has all of Barry's formulae.

In AG (vol 32) Michael Maunder thinks that POTA produces too low contrast. He therefore created Celer-Stellar. As an alternative he also recommends using C-41 developer at full strength, 10 min @ 20 C. Stop, fix, wash and dry.

I think I have it. I could scan and e-mail you ? I corresponded with him about my own use of his developers several times, and he was always very helpful. I am still using some of them and archivix. For black and white film photography, his book 'edge of darkness' is one of the best photography books ever, and this not just for the photography aspects; he was an excellent author.

I have had the pleasure of having several Leica bodies (IIIF and M3) and lenses (summar, elmar & triotar) CLA'd and/or serviced by Malcolm and I highly recommend him. He can do everything, including coating lenses etc.
