Greetings,
I just stepped into the digital age that I've heard so much about
but could only afford a powershot A620, a point and shoot. I have a
maximum aperture of 8 (as far as I currently know) and would like to
use a neutral density filter, as well as others. I plan on
purchasing the Conversion Lens Adapter LA-DC58F (58mm) for the
camera. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Am I able
to use standard threaded 58mm filters with this adapter or just the
Canon telephoto and wide-angle converter?
Thanks for any input,
Jason

Howdy,
I was hoping someone could recommend a good place to snap some shots
of farm areas, fields, things of that nature come foilage time. I
live in Philadelphia, so some place in the surrounding counties would
be helpful
Thank you,

Howdy,
I have been shooting slides for awhile now and would like to have my
favorite exposures scanned onto a CD for viewing on my computer and
to email, etc. I want to use A and I because of their reputation,
but has anyone used them for this purpose? What type of scan did you
use? The basic scan is three dollars a slide, does anyone know the
quality of this scan? I am new to scanning so any insight would be
appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello,
I have used Fuji mailers several times before and received my slides
exactly one week after mailing my exposed roll. For my lastest role,
I have now waited almost three weeks. Has anyone else waited this
long? Is there anyone I can contact?
Thank you,
Jay in Philadelphia

Hello,
This is my first time scanning my slides onto a CD through A and I
and I was hoping to find out if I should have them as a TIFF format
or JPEG, are there any pros or cons? Will the file type affect what
I can do with them? What is the best for overall viewing quality?
Thanks,
Jason

Anyone have any experience with either of these? Noritsu 3001 photo
printer, 4000 dpi Nikon film scanner. What type of quality print can
I get from a slide?
Thanks

Thanks for all the input. I just started using slide film so Im stil getting accustomed to it. Im trying another lab tomorrow just to experiment. So a drumscan is the best way to go? For fifty bucks it better be. Also, can anyone tell me what a lightjet is?

Also,
some of the prints are missing tops or bottom that are visible on
the slide. I was told it would be difficult to get the entire area
that is visible on the slide? Did i get ripped off?

Hello,
I just got back from the lab with 5x7s prints made from slides.
After looking at the slides on a light box and comparing them with
the prints, the colors in the prints seem off. Is this normal,or
does the light box enhance the colors in a way that is impossible to
replicate on the prints? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you

I think Oliviers answer is the way to go.

Greetings,
What do you guys use to transport one or two slides to the photo
finisher? Are there any small slide carriers out there? I usually
use a baggy but after several close calls I would like something
with more protection.

Hello,
Has anyone had a good experience with a store in Philadelphia with
color slide developing and slide to print enlargements? I have
looked at the past posts on the forum but they were of no help to me.
Thanks,
Jason

Can anyone recommend a good slide viewer in the 20-40 dollar range?
I'm on a budget and just started experimenting with color slide
film. Thanks
Memory Card Readers

I am looking for a memory card reader that connects to a USB via a cable.
Anyone have any experience with one for a SD card? My computer is a little
dated so there are no USB ports in the front of the tower. With a card reader I
will be able to delete images using the computer right?
Thanks,
Jason
