i like the composition, but the "window" is too bright, although I can see where you could say that there is the dark overgrown inside, old and the outside, bright, current, etc. but it is too bright. would love to photograph there!

intriguing place . . . . would love to photograph there! the white rocks look like big white mushrooms growing on an alien planet!

I think you ruin the image with such a large copyright

I really like it . . . . nice abstraction. look forward to seeing your work

while the pose is good, somehow the lighting makes her neck look diry
-
this is excellent . . . . .

I find the three stalks of grass that are "standing" pull my eye away from the beautiful arrangement of cracked ice and the grass trapped within it. that aside, I fine the shapes of the ice very intriguing

for a "not particularly pretty area" you sure made this a striking image, very simple in composition, quiet, serene, and so very pleasing

boy, a lot of comments, confusion, and such. simply, I like that my eye goes from the bottom with the "finger" of the pool, to the rock, to the reflection and ripples, etc. nice lighting, nice composition . . pleasing and statisfying. I liked that beach as well.

I love the truly strong graphic quality of this image . . . strong, bold, showing such movement so simply . . . . . . very very nice!

interesting . . . . you made a comment about going back to this portfolio and working on it because you now felt that they were too saturated . . . . . . I have imagery of Utah myself that I haven't posted because I went back to look at them at felt the same thing! I think in my case I came away from photographing in such utter awe of the wonderous colors, that when I went to print them I just ran wild with the way I felt about these great warm colors. in retrospec I agree, I need to tone them down.
I like your portofolios, and am glad I found them

I am amazed at the varied ways we can come up with to photograph sand dunes! Yours makes such an intricate study of textures!
-
dunes are amazing are they not? I like the composition . . that dip in the sand on the right . . . . . it makes for a very interesting image!
-
so strong graphically . . . . very nice work

ah yes, we both saw something in dramatic shadows (see my portfolio "study in shadows"). I like the play of the diagonal ripples of sand against the diagonal shadows . . . .good work!

good, very good
-
very imaginative imagery

my screen shows it so dark that I can barely see the puddle. . . . yet I think it is good . . . portraying a dark overcast day with rain, etc. good image!

an abstract image of two imbedded boulders in the sand. I liked the
shadows and texture around each rock, the differences between the sand
and the hard surface of the rock. I wanted to keep the colors muted,
life-like. opinions welcome
