After buying some Marshall Oil paints to hand-tone my prints, my 7
year old step-daughter was inspired. I gave her a print and she went
for it with her acrylics. I think she's done a brilliant job - I'm
envious!

And do you think it works better? I do. It really is a great image.

Good use of the Holga. I just bought one today!

Wow - look at that pollution!

Great wedding photo. Light and setting just lovely.

I think it's a little bit of a shame that there is direct sunlight coming through those windows, but otherwise this is beautiful.

This is a very unique image. Personally, I'd probably clone out the light spots on the ground, but this is superb.

This is so peaceful and beautiful - well done.

How depressing. But well captured.

Lesa, Thanks so much for your kind words on my silver fern image. It brought me to your lovely, diverse portfolio. But amongst them all, this one really stands out. Wonderful light and wonderful subdued tones add to this picturesque scene.

Pentax Optio .. indeed! Thought it was a Holga or pinhole image. Very nice work.

You could call this "Crumbling Giant". Lovely colours.

Asla, As with the critiques above, this image stood out to me straight away. And, like the others, I think the juxtaposition of nature against industry is really striking. I look at this and think, "How much snow will fall here in 30 years, when the greenhouse gas emissions from the factor have changed the global climate further?"
So your subject is wonderful. Your composition is equally good. The textures that draw the eye from foreground to background are beautiful and perfectly placed. And your print is perfect.

Well, I think it's great. You're much more creative than me - just taking photos and working on them in a "straight" manner. I envy your creative skills and talent.
I recently gave my 7 year old step-daughter a print of a photo that I don't much like any more and told her she could do what she wanted to it. So she painted it with acrylics and it looks 200% better than the original image. I've scanned in her wonderful artwork and I'm going to put it on my website! (http://www.nathanross.co.nz)
