dee 14 0 Posted January 25, 2007 This shot led me to your Portfolio, and tehn back to this shot again... I don't think I have the words to describe how incredible the images that I viewed are. I would absolutely love to know how you do it. Incredible! Thank you for the inspiration to try to learn some of this. Dee Link to comment
nathan_ross 0 Posted January 26, 2007 This image is perfect - like a fairy tale or movie or painting, it's almost too perfect to be real. In fact, most of your portfolio is that good. Fantastic work that I hope you are exhibiting and/or publishing somewhere. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted January 26, 2007 Sorry, but as usual, I don't buy into Kitsch photography. This is a poorly manipulated image, with lots of overexposure in the upper R/H corner, more than likely caused by digital manipulation and placement of render lighting. The image has been fudged with so much that virtually all depth of field behind and next to the boy has been totally destroyed. The overall yellowish/greenish tint is a dead giveaway that the image is overmanipulated. Folks, why don't you take time for a closer look at these images before falling all over yourselves with the mate rating? Now in the end here, I am not posting this to be offensive to the taker of this image. My emphasis would have been on not playing so much digitally with this image and instead making a serious effort to take a good image in the first place. While the composition is nice, the exposure quality of the original image appears to have been NOT nice, perhaps with a poor exposure reading locked in and using the camera more to take snapshot images.
