    Machu Picchu is an awesome place and a very photogenic one, in all kinds of weather. I like it so much I visited it 4 times in 6 years. I agree with Marco's comments, but not so much with his ratings. This is the "signature photo" of the ruins and almost every visitor has shot it from this vantage point.

    Thank you so much for commenting. I really do appreciate it.

     

    The greens at lower right are fuzzy due to dof. I only did standard PS processing on this image, other than removing a shadow under mother bird's beak. Now that you've mentioned it, I will dodge the shadows and warm the tones a bit.

     

    Another great learning experience for me. Thanks again.

    A little on the contrasty side, if one is to analyze the pic, but this did not take anything away from aesthetics or originality... still as powerful as can be in delivering the message or telling the story... still very much worth more than a thousand words. It is beautiful and a great picture. 7/7
