Would love to know what you think of this. I have cropped this from a
larger image, blurred around all of facial features but eyes.
Converted to b&w, and added a touch of diffused glow. Also burned
lips a bit. Please share your thoughts with me.

Thanks Cary! I appreciate your comment. Maybe if I blurred the edges a little. That might soften it some more. Is that what you had in mind?

Thank you Biliana! Yes, it is nice to see you here too! I don't post here much, just occasionally to get some feedback!

Thanks Jeremy, no offense was taken! I'm glad you liked the image!

Thank you to all of you who left such generous comments.
In response to the question about the edges, all I did was take several different artisitic brushes in Photoshop and chose a complimentary color, in this case a soft beige, and randomly brushed on what looks like an old mirror.
Thanks again all!

Yeah, I like it. It's very different and creative. The only thing I would want different would be better lighting on her face, so that the shadows were more dramatic, with one side being visibly darker. The little bit of blue/purple, is cool though. Overall, I like it alot.

Wanting to create a romantic, nostalgic bridal image for my
portfolio. Taken in a darkened church with only the window light
coming in. Converted to b&w with a warmer sepia tone, and a little
bit of diffused glow. Also roughed up the edges. Anxious for your
thoughts and comments.

This is a beautiful image, but it makes me so sad. The emotion she is sending out through her eyes, and her chin tucked into her chest, just make me want to weep. The tones, the hair, her little face looking a little dirty perhaps, it all just really pulls at my heartstrings. I find myself thinking, what has she gone through in her little life? A brilliant portrait, very moving, and I love the crop just as it is. Very powerful.

Nice use of effects here. I like the dark background, it makes your subject really pop! The effects work really well here.

Any thoughts or comments on this image would be appreciated. It was
shot with natural light from a nearby window. Some softening has been
done of stretchmarks and scarring on tummy, and some overal softening
of the image. I wanted a dramatic, romantic feeling here. I can't
wait to hear what you think.

Thank you so much, those of you who have taken time to comment. I wasn't sure what Jeremy meant by his comment, but now I do! I agree, he didn't realize I meant graduating seniors from high school! LOL! An easy mistake . . . thanks for catching that guys! I'm so glad you liked it. I really loved the expression in her eyes as well. I had taken a couple of shots of her looking out a window and told her to just turn her eyes to me, and this is what we got. I'll have to post the one of her looking out the window too. I'm so pleased that you all liked it. Thanks for the great feedback!
