1.

 2.
Lex, I do not really care about ratings, since I do not have any profit with it , if you have read well my comments, what I do not like , it is the fact the some "photographers" hide behind the anonymous ratings an I wonder if they even have the skills and gear to post and rate a shot. What you are writing here, sound ironic to me "Please Do Not Rate My Photos Unless You Are Qualified Photographer Or Critic" For your info , I do not live from photography, I have some other businesses in Mexico and I am not a critic of art, but One Needs To Be Blind and No distinguish between a shot lacking of technique (Which is good , we come here to learn) and another thing is a shot lacking of "taste, technique and skills" I see that you have follow my comments, if these comments bother you I am terribly SORRY, but thats my personal opinion.
Josh, as this site is open then I can write whatever I want , (no offense) , then I will consider your advise about paying someone to check and critic my work, of course if you are interested , just let me know. best regards to all // Salvador

 3.
Yes Ton, you are absolutely right and I am almost sure that these people with no skills, no technique and no talent, rate under anonymous ratings, it is an open site and I guess we have to live with it, have a nice sunday, Gruss //Salvador

 4.
It has been hard for me to write this situation in the forum, I have been a member for awhile in PN , however I think that some seudo "photographers" just have in mind "I pay so I can post whatever I want" , just take a look at some nudes now, some lack in technique and some in good taste, I find few serious photographers who take their time and then shoot, some even take care when choosing a beautiful model, well thats my opinion , what about yours ? best and warm regards // Salvador

 5.
Please need your advice , I am thinking of a buying a Nikon 24mm pc lens, for those who have it and have used it, do you think , it is worth to spend the money for such a lens ? or PS can arrange such lens distortion ? I would like to hear your comments, best and warm regards // Salvador

 6.
I would ask PN to avoid anonymous because these lead to nowhere, sometimes people who rate low might have no idea of what photography is.
Second , an icon to the best photographer in different categories and
Third , to be able to send e mails to different users at the same time, have a nice day //Salvador

 7.
Be honest , I think if you rate 3/3 would be important to me to know why you have rated this way. I see many anonymous ratings who hide behind the system. I have seen many hard critiques and ratings to somebody´s work and when I go back and see the portfolio of the person who criticize (he-she has only 3 or 4 shots) . I wonder if they are photographers or they just want to start a fight here . Good luck and welcome to PN //Spenaloza

 8.
It might be easy for those whose passion is photography, I think photography is art and just some people are blessed with that gift, what it counts for me is , good "eye", and good taste , I have seen many pictures here of "professional" photographers whose pictures are a disaster (That depends on the taste of each one) even if they have a very expensive gear, but if one has the money to buy a nice "toy" why not. It is not the toy but the person who plays with it. Take care and happy shooting //Salvador

 9.
Do you think , there are such kings Midas in PN, that every shot they take comes to an amazing photo ? I have been in PN for awhile and I have seen such wonderful work from some photographer under categories such as -nudes,architecture,birds, etc. Most of the time , I find the same names , I would like to listen to your opinion, regards // Salvador

 10.
Ton , I think that all depends on the way one writes the comment , good or bad. One can write "ggod" things and be sarcastic , which is worse . But to be honest with you, sometimes some photographers make comments on shots (lets say "nudes") in a rude way and these photographers have never shot a nude in their life , this doest not mean that I can not accept the comment , but what I don´t like it is the way they say it . There is a saying in spanish which is ; No es lo mismo ver los toros de lejos que torear ( It is not the same to see the bulls from far away than being the bullfighter) . I have seen rude critiques on some shots and when I see the portfolio of the photographer who has criticized the shot, either they have one or two shots or they have no shots at all. As somebody said " so I cannnot make comments on football , just because I am not a foot ball player" no , the point for me is that if someone is good at "nudes" (then I can learn from him(them) , the same with architecture and HDR . But it is not fair that someone says (this sucks, I cannot really say any positive o the shot) and then one sees there is no a single shot under this category. Ton, "the way to ask is the way to give" and if I really don´t like something , I try to figure out the words and be polite, best regards from Mexico // Salvador
