In downtown Mobile, AL, there is a wonderful old shop which sells peanuts of every variety.
They are roasted in this ancient gas-fired roaster - and are the best I've had anywhere.
Thanks for your comments,

Street person who calls himself "the General." He was selling bread (which I suspect he had
fished out of the dumpster at the French bakery a couple of blocks away) for a quarter/loaf. I
gave him a buck (but passed on the bread) and snapped this shot. Thanks in advance for
your comments.

Jeff: Beautiful color and a wonderful exercise in simplicity. A great example that an image does not have to be complex (or full of information) in order to be effective. Great work. Ken

Not much to add to what others have already noted, Jeff. Excellent use of depth of field and great tonality. After seeing the color shot you posted here, I have to agree with your decision to go with the black and white. Nice job, as usual.

Another great image, Pierre! The mix of bright and subdued colors gives this photo a lot of depth. You have a masterful touch when it comes to color. Regards, Ken

Great capture of the moment. Reminds me of my times being made to stand in the hall at school.

Wonderful capture here. I love the way the lighting gives a kind of ghostly look to the woman in the background. Excellent! Regards, Ken
