Igor, it was only a zoom set to 210mm (effectively 315mm on my camera).
The secret is the bird is acclimated to me ans I was only about 10 to 15 feet away.
thanks for looking and commenting

Needs less harsh light, otherwise a nice capture.

Nice capture !
I appreciate the honesty with the captive comment.

Well seen and captured.
I wouldn't change a thing - regards

The subjects are well captured but if it were mine, I'd crop out some of the LH side to concentrate the eye on the boats.

Hello Dieter - nice subject matter and exposure, but I find the centering of the bridge less than ideal. Putting the bridge off to one side somewhat and using one of the shorelines to lead you into the bridge would be an improvement IMO.

Tony, thanks for your generous comment!

Thanks Bela, you've made it more into a bird image (good), I initially saw it as an abstract. I do like what you've done to it.

Hi Beli, those vertical lines are tree trunks.
Thanks for commenting.

I like your subject and exposure but if it were mine I would have moved the subject slightly to the left to include all of the valve cover and eliminate the hose on the LH side.
BTW what motor is it ?

I was shooting a landscape when I heard a squalking close by of several
geese - I quickly fired away in the direction of the noise and this was
one of several images captured. Something different than your usual bird
shot.
Your thoughts ?

Hi Don,
A nice crisp image of a healthy looking bird.
The white spots thru the leaves are a minor distraction to me.
