  1. certainly a good try....do you know clyde butcher ? he has made some very nice b&w pictures of dunes in the 70's... interestingly he also captured the sky (often violent / windy) on it, gave it a very good contrast...

I don't know why, but i find it better than I would think at first sight. There is some symmetry in it, and at the same time not. B/W is well done, contrast too. It is pretty well done.

Also seen your other work, some very nice pictures there too. I think you are worth your 10D ;)

I think it is a classic , but well done, composition. Precise in the 2/3 we see the castle. and again in 2/3 the small house and main part.

Also the the 3 bands (earth,water,earth/castle) and then sky are well dimensionsed.

just one thing could come in handy, that is a UV filter to filter out some of the sharp sun in this image and to make the colors more saturated. But it is impossible to be sure from this image's quality (uploaded version i mean)to tell it is really needed. Do i make sense here?

nice. It is a bit blurry, which is good. for me the focus of the picture is on her mouth & chin, and there is some expression, which i can't grasp immediately. So I like it, I could spend some time watching it.

it would have been even better if you had even more centered. now it is like the tip of the leaves are not in, otherwise, you would have stressed the triangle in the middle.
