Love it love it love it, your nudes should define what nude is. its a celebration of the female body with all the fanfare placed in the darkness surrounding her body...if you catch my meaning...wonderful as usual 7/7
  1. Dave I meant not be negative but I suppose the reason it was posted is to see how you might improve it or what other opinions are. I don't want to say its just good, anyone can do that. Everything i pointed out was minor but I just wanted to give a good critique, saying its good is not a critique.
  2. Actually i am thinking purely from an objective point of view this is plain. The dark stripe that goes down from her left shoulder, over her nipple and down her leg is really annoying. Especially since her left flank is lighted. You have really hard shadows here and her body seems to need diffused warm light. I think what would make this pop is to accomplish the dark background and soft body light. Then make the water drops bigger and less like freckles. Her thumb to her right needs to show more or not at all. Bottom line, though, hard shadows bad. Looks like you have a light on the left, above and one on the front right. Oh and her left hand looks unatural. Thanks for the submission not bad.

You know Don made a fine point there and I think it invalidated his beginning statement with the last sentence. He said "Push yourself to break the mold and come up with something original" Well I think you did. First of all the aesthetics are exceptionally brilliant, but the hand adds to it. It just isn't about lines and so therefore you do "break the mold" of what a pro would do or anyone else. Otherwise it would have been "great" and everyone would have said its nice but it wouldn't have been unique. I think you did a superb job hand included. 7/7

I always try to capture the essence that is Japan and its people and this is one example I failed to record yet. Like i had said I live in Tokyo and dogs seem to be revered by the Japanese as a whole. I have never seen so many badges and stickers on the back of cars proudly displaying the breed the owners love and have.

Do you live in Japan, I do and I also have a tatami room I sleep on my futon in. Take a look at my tatami photo and please don't take any offense to my comments I mean it in a helpful way

I like the concept but I think it was a bad execution. The dark shadow is not uniform and the binoculars don't seem to have a place in the picture. If not for that this would be a great photo.

I like the subject and it shows just enough of her breast to make one look closer. But then it doesn't give it all away in the end. I think too many nudes show too much which takes away from the enticing effect. 6/6 well deserved

I gave it a 4/4 because the colors look washed out, the orange hurts my eye's, too much contrast and I don't get the subject. Is it reminiscent of an older time when fishermen of that region (please indicate) painted their boats as part of a tradition or everyday life? if it was just a man painting a boat I really don't see anything original about it. Not a bad idea but its just a painter when it comes down to it, with nothing saying its a cultural icon.

I actually like it this tone. One would expect b/w but that is quickly becoming a commonality. This paticular part of a women is amazingly sensual without showing the typical body parts associated with nudes. Good job

I love aircraft photos and this is exceptional. It almost looks like its breaking the sound barrier. Too dark is only bad thing These photos are rare because the plane has been decommissioned, good shot.

This is a very nice and interesting photo, I love the concept but I don't think the farthest part of her body needs to be in focus but rather the part showing her breast, and maybe you should not have cut the right nipple off. It would have been better to leave it out and get the rise of the breast or show it whole. Either way i still like it and you should do more.

This is a wonderful picture, so pleasant to look at it makes me feel good. Wonderful use of depth of field you notice a piece of paper in the backround but its not so overpowering as to draw your attention to it and distract you. All and all very beautifully done.
  3. It is hard to shoot into the sun because the metering on the camera is thrown off by the sun leaving the lighthouse dark. Unless you were not using the metering system in your camera and you were aiming for this look. Wonderful non the less.

Great portrait, the look on her face looks very concentrated. Totally oblivious to the photographer, nice. But I am wondering what she is doing and for future reference leave a caption because it might distract the viewer wondering what she is doing. I like it though nice lighting!
  4. I am very much wanting to Photograph the people of Poland but I stick out like a sore thumb(see my portrait) with that being said I am also partial to Polish photographers, however Polish or not this photo is wonderful. The band of flesh color guides the eyes of the viewer to notice that this picture is of a human and not just another photo of a face. truely beautiful.
  5. The models body epitomises a perfect woman form, the stomach shadow is fine but small suggestions are to have the right leg illuminated. It would go with the whole illumination of the side view theme it seems to have. The right breast maybe should have recieved a little shade. But this is a masterful piece other than those very minor things. Thank you for creating it.
