    Thanks for the input. To answer questions; Bill, the brush and overhanging rocks all but block all light for about 100 yards back.I tried exposures uing fill flash, this being the most natural. Rob, the over hang of the cliff on the left was such that I dind't gain anything unless I moved in and around it, losing the feel I was going for. Thank you both for some thoughtful feedback. L.

    I wouldn't think you would see anything below a 6 or maybe a 5 if somebody was mad at purple flowers,but even then... Color contrast with background is great.Deapth of field is spot on, the front petal totally draws you into the image.7/7
