I like the image, nice colour and simplicity to it.

Personally I would have tried a tighter crop at the top, to emphasise the diagonal, the frame works and again I may have been tempted to slightly blur the image on the outside of the frame. But that is just me.

    Very nice.

    Playing with light

Just playing around with painting with light. Used 2 torches in this

shot. A 15 second exposure and stumbling in the dark.

I think it sort of works, I personally think it may have been better

if the white light at the top was centred over the glasses, but I

like the tones of this image.

Let me know what you think.

MIstakingly, after showing someone ISO settings I left my camera set

at 1600 ISO. The colour image was not that nice but by going through

this treatment I think the grain adds to the overall effect?

Let me know what you think to it.

The original image was shot on a window sill. I have taken away the

background info and gone for an high key look, the original colour

was pink but I wanted a different colour so settled on this.

I thought this would make for a nice greetings card or gift tag etc..

Still not sure why people don't leave more of a description, even if it is to say what they have done. What you do may seem obvious to you but it could really give beginners tips.

Anyway I like the image, this is my type of image.

Not that it needs it but have you thought about bringing a little colour back? Maybe on the t-shirt?

Nice image gets my vote (don't know what I'm voting for but hey it gets it anyway)

This is the same shot as the colour one the only differences are it

is a tighter crop and then converted to B&W. I feel it gives the

image an almost pencil like quality. Anyway let me know what you

    think of it.

It is the eyes on this image that drag you right in there and take notice, surprised you don't have that many comments on this one!

The softness you talked about seems to add to the overall image look rather than take away. Probably cropped a little too close to the bottom but it does work.

This is an image I took of my daughter. The original included all

the background (she was walking through the patio doors at the time)

I did a rough selection and then created layers with differing levels

on them to try for that studio high key look. I then erased unwanted

    data.

Let me know if you think that this works as an image. It was not a

studio shot, it was a casual shot, I do know that the hair over her

eye could be seen as distracting but I think it adds to the mood?

  1. I like this one, looks like some of the old aircarft paintings.

Aircraft are not my thing but I can appreciate the difficulties involved when they are travelling at speed head on. I don't think it would have worked if the aircraft were not leaving the smoke trails?

Nice shot, like it better than the others you have up at the moment.

OK I'm new to the site and this is my first upload. I'm not asking

you to be kind to me, just honest critique.

The idea behind this was to use on either a card or as part of a set

within a calendar. If it is to be used in those type of markets I

will consider placing the image within a frame of some kind.

Well let me know what you think.
