    Beautiful colours and texture. I don't know if I like the barbed wire or not... it doesn't really fit the picture IMO but doesn't intrude either.

    This is excellent. I might consider cropping it so the out of focus flower in the foreground is not so prominent, but that's a minor point. I love the texture of the moth's body.

    This version is much better - more of a painterly feel with the colours and textures. Probably not 'striking' enough to get the high ratings but that's not the point - it's a nice scene, well composed and presented. It works.

    I would crop this more, especially bottom and left edges. It looks too static as it is, with the cormorant right in the centre of the image.

    This is really good - the sense of space and light, the colours, the symmetrical-asymmetrical composition. What film did you use here?

    The lighting here is very interesting and makes a good photo. The blown-out bottom left corner is quite distracting though...
