hay i took the same photo last year on black and white film. my version has a blank white sky because it was a cloudless day, so I have the black lines of the pylon on a plain backround, it makes a really nice contrast. I like this version to, but maybe there should be some colour on the pylon? i may scan in my photo soon to put on PN.

its good if you want to get experiance and there are some situations where you can get good photos, but there are some parts of the zoo that arnt realy photographer-friendly.

Hay David, thanks for your version! I appreciate people who comment and offer help with my work ( so thanks to the rest of you to!!!), as I am now studing for the final part of my Alevel in photography and any advice helps!. your version is interesting... you cut alot of the dead space at the top (i can appreciate why, there's nothing there) but I kind of like the way that the wood grain leads you up the immage, wich it still does in your version, but not as much. One thing I realy like is that you fliped it so the nail is on the right rather than the left- I diddn't think of that, but it is interesting to the effect it has... I like it, it's made me view the immage differently. I was wondering why you did?
