The forest floor was quite subdued light but the sky poking through the trees was burning out. So I used a .9 ND Grad filter to try and hold back some of the highlights whilst still retaining some of the detail.
I take on board your comment and agree I could have cropped the top of the trees out - but I was trying to give some sense of scale of the height of the trees in relation to the path and the foreground
Thanks for your constructive comments they are very much appreciated.

Thanks Ernest
James - Had I completely removed the trees I would not have had the whole viaduct in shot. I also wanted some FG interest and I liked the curve of the wall leading to the base of one of the columns. Thanks for commenting.
Stuart - I used a Lees .9 ND Grad lined up with the top of the viaduct.

Thanks for taking time to comment.
I took a number of different angles/perspecives and this was the first of the bunch taken as I approached the viaduct. I will post other pics closer to and from different perspectives
Many thanks and Regards

Ian this is a great image - with a quality I'd love to be able to get within a couple of miles of! I'd gladly sit in the rain for a couple of days and wait for a sunset like this!!
What part of Anglesey?
