  1. Interesting work here. I find it a bit disturbing that her chest is the same texture and colour as the wall, so it looks rather like she's part of the wall. Title works well here too - if it weren't for that I'd suggest that a composition with her looking into the frame would work better. As it is it's perfect.
  2. Thanks for the comments.

As for the tree with the sun directly behind it, I do actually have one taken that way. I think it works well compositionally, but the tree loses a lot of contrast to flare. I'm working to correct that in PS and will post the image when it's done.

I think this works particularly well. There's a very nice tonal gradient here, and the leaning of the fenceposts adds to the mood. Very good composition. Technically, I'd get rid of that flare spot near center right in the frame.
  3. Fuji Velvia really brought out the colours in this tree. I was aiming

for a short DoF, but cut it a bit too fine, I think.

I'm not sure if this image works aesthetically - I go between loving

    and hating the ultra-short DoF.

    Thoughts?

This is one of those photos that tells an entire story. I love it. Main criticism would be to maybe clone out the seagulls, they draw the eye away from the main subjects and interrupt the flow of the image.

I like this, very nice composition. I think the overall sepia tone doesn't work too well, though. I would prefer to see this in natural colours - especially the sky.
  4. I don't generally like zoo photos, feels like cheating. But when I saw

these guys hanging out on the rocks and howling at the coming evening,

    I couldn't resist.

    adjusted in PS CS.
