Yeah the Nokton is a porker. It's a bit narrower and lighter than a Noctilux but longer, if
memory serves me correctly. And that's 35mm vs. 50mm. For speed, nothing replaces
the lux, in my opinion.

Or if you'd be satisfied with a reflected metre, there's a new Voigtlander one coming out

Don't know about the Gossen; I use a Sekonic L-308 BII - http://www.sekonic.com/

I like it. Fits in my pocket and provides accurate incident light readings. That's pretty
much all I use/need.

As to would it make a cron user happy? Depends what you need/use it for, as always.

There's been quite a few postings regarding them.

You can find more under the lens threads.
I've had a 35mm f/2.5 Pancake Type II for a couple weeks. The build quality was great and
I loved the small size. Optical performance was great, especially for the price, quite sharp
and nice bokeh in my opinion. I shoot a lot of low-light, though, and I found the lens to
be a tad slow for my purposes, so I'm selling it. I think its definitely comparable to the
pre-ASPH 35mm crons, especially at its price.
BTW, I just listed the lens on the FS section of this forum. Let me know if you're
interested.

plus it looks like there's a nicely used filter on it too.

I don't know about size, but according to KB Camera, the58mm version is 580 grams while
the 60mm is 630g.

Details and configurator. Don't see anything else new on the site - so is the DMR and a la
carte program it for Leica for Photokina?

forgetting good photographic reason for a moment: anyone else find the black lenses to
be a tad unsightly?

Most important thing to me is the pricing. If the lenses are on the lines of the G lenses or
slightly higher, great; if the 50 planar f/2 is priced $800+, for example, compared to the
plentiful and proven 50 crons on the used market with the Leica name, I'm not sure it'll be
such a hit.
I was hoping for more speed. That's partly why I got out of the G system. Too bad.

Considering it's of your son, I can see why you like the photo, but why do you call it a
"lucky shot?"

Thanks, I'll check them out.

Hi, I need to get my rangefinder on my M3 aligned and I was wondering if anyone could
recommend a place in Philadelphia. I know i could do it myself but I'd be more
comfortable if someone with more experience did it.
Thanks.

I'm tried using an international credit card at B&H and I was asked to do the same thing. I
did it, because I find B&H trustworthy. I think this is a not uncommon procedure when
using credit cards issued outside of the company's country.

Thanks, everyone, for the help.

Hi, I recently decided to get into Leica M's for low-light photography and purchased an M3
online. I know that Leicas are supposed to have bright viewfinders, and mine definitely is
brighter than my Contax G2, but when I look through it at a white wall or a blue sky, I
notice a slight blue-gray tint (the sky turns a little bluer). I have no previous experience
with M's and don't know a local store where I could check others. So, is this tint normal?
Thanks
Leica MP baseplate fit?

Don't see how you could be expecting too much if the original never behaved like that and
none of my baseplates ever have.
I would return or exchange it, if possible.
