I like the tones and the model's pose, and it seems like some visable grain is nice in the picture, but the amount here seems to reduce the detail that can be precived (I like it smaller, but when I view the larger example, it starts to bother me). It seems pretty grainy for 6X6 TX. How much of the negitive is used?

I'm partial to the sepia tone example myself.

The cluttered background, and that it seems to be in better focus than the subject dosn't work for me.
-
It seems like a square Crop along the edges of the guide rails might work quite well.

The gun/confrontational pointing seem out of context in a studio shot--I see this pose working better in the doorway of a cement/steel construction site, or in front of a nightclub.

While it's hard for me to tell with such a small example, it seems like there's noticable camera shake (best fixed by bracing against something, or using a tripod), or too large an apature was used so not everything is in sharp focus, which I belive would benifit this picture. I like all the lines of the fence, building, and road leading up to the person, though, as well as the image's contrast and tones.

The lighting seems to conflict with the subject. While I like contrasty, moody lighting, it doesn't flatter the smiling model or her overall look.

It's an interesting image, but it doesn't seem appropiate to post computer generated art in this particular forum.

Any thoughts?

I like it. I think that it's an original picture from a much photographed national park. While I like the effects of red filters (I'm assuming that's what was used here), something a bit less dramatic would be more effective--orange or yellow, maby.

I think that it is a very interesting picture, especially with what I see as the subject being partially obscured by the brother. I don't see the the fact that only she is in sharp focus as an accident, rather the use of selective focus to isolate the subject.

I think that it would look best about 1 contrast grade higher (if it was a silver print, of course--I don't know what the digital equivalant would be measured in).

I like this picture not in spite of it's simplicity, but rather because of it. It's very minimalistic, and with the color in the picture, I think that it works very well.

This is the kind of photograph that I hope to be able to make. Inspiring.
