  1. Options are unlimited. Depending on how much time you will be in the White Mountains.

My favorite is the Pinkham Notch Area.

Park at the Pinkham Notch visitor center on route 16. From there you can hike up in into Tuckermans Ravine, Huntington Ravine, Mount Washington and into the Presidential Range. Photo opportunities are everywhere if you pick this area.

Keep in mind that above ridgeline could still have snow and probaly will. Tuckermans and Huntington Ravine will have snow depending on the weather.

You will not be disappointed anywhere you go in the White Mountains.

Here is a site that gives alot of info on Hiking in the Mountains of New Hampshire

    http://www.outdoors.org/

You can also check out my site to get an idea of what is above ridge line and in the White Mountains at www.scenicnh.com . Let me know if you see a area on my web site you are interested in and I will get you in the general area

    Enjoy

  2. I sent a email to Fred Vnoucek(his images are on that site).

Maybe he knows about, Maybe he doesn't.

Like you said Lisa, let people know about it. Alot of people seem to think images posted on-line are free to use. They dont know about copyright.

How did you find that website?

  3. When archiving images in your database

Do you make the color adjustments or any adjustments to the image in

photoshop before saving the image or do you make the adjustments

later when you are ready to use the image?

I was recently told that I should make all my color adjustments, etc

in photoshop before I archive any image.

I have always scanned the image into photoshop. Save the image as a

16 bit tiff file. I then make all my adjustments to the image when I

am ready to use that image.

Would like to know other peoples thoughts on this?

Should I be making all my adjustments to the image before archiving

    them?

  4. Thanks for the info Guy.

I should have added that I planned on also getting the 1 degree spot attachment for the L-358. To me this sounds like it would be a great combo.

I am going to check out the L-608.

    Thanks for the info

  5. I am looking into buying a new light meter

Does anyone have any suggestions on which one?

    For Nature photography.

I have been looking at the Sekonic L-358, but can't make up my mind.

I photograph landscapes, scenics, etc. All my work is done in the

field, so I am looking for a reflected light meter.

    Any info would be great!!

  6. Thanks guys for all the info.

I dont mind the long days, heat I can deal with for a little while, but crowds can be a problem. I can never get any photo work done when crowds are around. Everyone always wants to talk(This statemnet sounds bad, but it is not meant to be bad). I think most photographers understand what I mean by this statement.

I think I will change my schedule around so I can hit the Arches in the fall of this year(avoid the heat and crowds).

Any suggestions for other parks to photograph for the month of july/august?

    Thank you for the info!

  7. I am planning a photo trip to Arches National Park in Utah. I planned

on leaving next week, but I have been advised to wait until sept/oct,

    when the crowds are smaller.

Can anyone tell me when the best time to visit Arches National Park

    is? What month?

Are the crowds that bad in july(summer)

    Any info would be great!
