Why has the Nikon F retained its value better than the F2 or F3 HP?

I am curious because I always end up bidding more for the F than any

other of the Nikons.

I really enjoyed viewing your images, Magnus. Kurt's comments were right on. So often we are desparate for images we sell out to whatever passes our viewfinder. I've been there many times, and it can be very depressing. Thanks to both of you for this thread.

Question: No matter which exposure mode I chose, when I hit the

shutter release button, the mirror locks up and stays that way until

I turn the exposure mode button to "B." Any comments on why this is

happening?

I think KEH would be a better source for your used photographic needs. For new purchases, I would go with B&H first and Adorama second. Just my .02

Yes, Ilkka, I fint the dividers to be rather poorly designed leaving one with no options for altering their configuration. Ah, well, I guess I'll have to resort to my Billinghams in that case.

Just bought the Domke F-2 camera bag. I hope I've not made a

mistake. Perhaps I should have gone with the Billingham? Any

comments/suggestions?

Has anyone had any experience or know anything about CAMERAREPAIRdotCom in New York? Several associates have asked me about their service.

I don't think an image becomes art based on someone being able to give a detailed explanation as to why or no this particular image is art to him/her. Art, like love, is really something easier to experience rather than explain; however, that is not to say that some viewers may be able to explain in detail why he/she likes and thinks of this particular image as being art. Just my .02 cents on the subject.
