7.
Bob, I have considered a new body. I havent really taken a deep look into them yet, I bought the D300 when it first came out and have had no problems at all with it. So its like trading in your old truck for a new one even though it has never broken down on you.
At the same time, one of the reasons for the 35mm it is under $200 for a good lense, I wouldnt drop $$$$ on a new one unless I go FX.
Thanks for all the input, every one has been more than helpfull

  10.
Sorry, I didnt word it like I needed too.
William W you are correct, low light street , 3/4 to full , I have longer lense and some very nice tele's but the problem with those is the distance in between me and my subjects and haveing folks walking between me and the shot can be frustrating.
Id like to thank everyone for the inputs

    portrait lense

Im wanting to add another prime for Portraits, I have the Nikon 85mm 1.4 that I use most of the time but I want to go a little shorter so I have been looking at the Nikons 35mm 1.8G or the 50mm 1.4 to use on a D300.
Whats your thoughts on these for portriats or is there any others you might recomend?
Thanks
