Hi
I am heading to Europe next month London, Amsterdam, Paris the basic museums etc. I was planning on taking my Nikon 18-200 VR with my D200 as I usually do when I travel but I was thinking of purchasing the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and bringing my 70-300G as a long lens. I was thinking that the f2.8 might be a good idea? (also a good excuse to buy it LOL)
Any thoughts?
Thsnks in advance
Make sure your photos are in a designated folder for each session you shoot. Lightroom "imports" the photos into thumbnails and a Lightroom catalog that keeps all the data of changes, etc you make to the photos without actually changing the original. Try this web site. It is excellent. There are also podcsats available. Enjoy it!
I use my 18-70 for travel on my D70 and have always been happy.

In the upper right hand corner of the page is "search photo.net"
Just type in your title and you will get many answers.

I use an Imac and downloaded the trial version of Aperture than Lightroom and found Lightroom was for me so I purchased that. The trial versions work great....download them.

Thanks! I thought I had that page bookmarked earlier. Great info.

Hi All,
I am a Lightroom user and running it with OS X Tiger. I have waited to upgrade
to Leopard because of the flaws that were reported earlier. Now with the 1.3
update that I have already installed, has anyone tried it yet? Adobe says the
fix is there but I am just curious.
Thanks

Not sure why a realtor would not let you use a flash?

I used the excellent tutorials at luminous landscape. One of the instructors said he liked to create multiple smaller catalogs but I like keeping it in one larger catalog and back it up in two separate external HDs.

It has been awhile since I did it but upgrading the firmware on my D70 made the counter much more accurate.

I believe Mark is correct. I think during my trial everything worked. I do own the program now and it is good. Try publishing the gallery to a folder on your HD.

Not sure if I am reading your question correctly but you can and should back up the CATALOG that has everything on it including keywords to anywhere you want.In fact Lightroom will remind you to do it if you want.

I am a hobbyist that shoots mainly raw. I LOVE Lightroom's database capability and as we know with the amount of shots we take and keep in this digital age orginization is a must. You can download Lightroom for 30 days as I did before I made my decision. For me 85-90% Lightroom the rest PS.

I see you mentioned "organizer" a few times. Check out Adobe Lightroom. It is a great database for organizing.

I did the AppleCare as well. In regards to the screen when I purchased my 20" I saw a real difference between that and the 24". I felt the 24 was much better but chose the 20. I am an amateur photog and did not think it necessary. WELL although I love this Imac I wish I had purchased the 24.

Does the history show no changes?

I have been using Adobe Lightroom. Try it. It is a free 30 day download

This is a question I posted the other day and recieved no replies. I only post
it again because I did it during Labor day weekend and maybe it slipped by
some of you:
Hi, I have been using The Lightroom trial for almost the month and have liked
it enough that I have already ordered it. I have been using many of the options
but one thing I would like would be to export an image with the identity plate
on it. I can print with the identity plate showing and can export a slideshow
in pdf but I can not seem to find an option to do it on the image export. Am I
missing something? I know I can do it in PS.
